Theatrical Performances
Each year, students stage a theatrical performance with their classmates. The subject matter of the play in usually integrated with the history or literature curriculum being covered that year. Students are given the opportunity to step out of their "comfort zone" and build their confidence in front of audiences. They feel a sense of accomplishment, working as a team with their classmates.
Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are invited to enjoy thier student's performance in the school auditorium. Primary school class plays are scheduled for 9:45 am. Elementary and Middle school class plays are held at 8:30 am. The performance is followed by a short reception in the child's classroom. Refreshments are served and the students' class work is displayed. The programs are held in the early morning so that working parents will have the opportunity to view their children's class work before going off to work.
