It is my pleasure to in
troduce you to a wonderful community of learners located in Westlake Village, California. Carden Conejo School, a nonsectarian co-ed school, has been nurturing young minds since 1971. From our energetic pre-school students through our confident middle-schoolers, our girls and boys thrive on the Carden Conejo experience of a challenging curriculum with skilled and dedicated teachers, on a safe and child-centered setting. We believe in the uniqueness of each student and the nurturing of individual talents within a truly supportive environment. Carden Conejo has been built on a proud tradition and continues as a dynamic place for an outstanding education.
Carden Conejo’s programs include half-day Pre-School, Monday through Friday, for three-year-olds and half-day Pre-Kindergarten, Monday through Friday, for four-year-olds. For our older fours, not yet ready for Kindergarten, we offer the Junior Kindergarten program with an extended day and an enhanced curriculum.
The full-day Kindergarten program, offering space for up to 18 students with a teacher and an aide, is designed to ease children into academic work, while balancing their need for informal activity and play.
The elementary and middle school grades provide a structured and challenging academic curriculum in phonics, reading, writing, mathematics, science and the humanities, while maintaining a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. In addition to their core academics, the curriculum also includes study in French, Latin (middle school), computer, art, music, and physical education.
